@roebling: You really can't figure out that the one with color is the iPad? The Kindle screen is black and white, so obviously it's not the one made up of red, green, and blue subpixeles.

@Blue_Six: All the apps in the marketplace can be purchased via Google Checkout, which means that the company recieving the money doesn't see my CC info. It's similar to Paypal, which despite some draconian business practices, doesn't have major issues with customer privacy. I don't have any qualms trusting Google

I can't get mine to refresh. It seems they are having to send me a replacement, like, everyday. The failure rate over 24 hours has got to be nearly 100%.

@robot-shmobot: ...and judging by your comment, it worked.

It's kind of a contradiction in terms to have to click on something you don't care about in order to express that you don't care. If I like it, I say I like it. If I hate it, I comment to that affect. If I don't care, I don't give it my time or attention.

What is so different in the updates themselves that requires so much time? XBL updates games at a fairly regular rate, but it takes on button press to confirm, and about 10 seconds. Is the only difference the download time, or is there something on the system level that makes game updates take so long. I was

So, you're taking a hit as people complain about your crappy UI, so you're just not going to tell them it's there anymore and hope they don't notice? Great. I'm so immensly happy the Droid is running stock Android. More of that please. I can download apps of my choosing if I ever need any of the "services" offered

I'd love to get rid of cable. I'm going to do this, whether or not Hulu helps me do it. I'd love their assistance, though. Once it comes to the Xbox, we're golden.

Yes to all the hardware. USB is a good thing. I could see a use for the mousepad, namely text selection and other things that are hard to do with a touch interface. However, fix the pinch zooming. Holy crap was that jumpy. I don't think my phone does it as great as the iPhone, but my Droid can pinch zoom circles

@DirtyColossus: I really hope so, so we can end the world of the Jackass crew. That would make me happy, as I want them to die in a fire.

First off, I play games over the internet via XBL often, and have never really had issues with it. If they start throttling my internet speed to force me to pay a premium to get what I have right now for the same price everyone's paying, that is not in my best interest.

@ZINO: It would be interesting to see numbers of how many people would actually put their money where their mouth is and switch to Verizon if they got the iPhone. I'd guess a huge chunk if not a majority of iPhone users have complained about AT&T when given the chance, but I'm guessing they might not actually commit,

@BowlingForDollars: At least in stock Android 2.x, there is a setting in the address book to have it only display addresses with phone numbers. I also have it synced with FB, but any that aren't tied to a phone number don't appear in the list as displayed under the contacts tab in the phone dialer. Go into the

Okay, but why (WHY?!?!?!) does the Facebook app still dump me out to the mobile site to respond to notifications? The posts can be read, liked, and responded to in-app, but if someone comments, and you want to comment back, nope, mobile site. Come on!

So, how long, after instituting these ideas, before people start stealing my soap dishes, pillows, and bath towels? :P

@Courteous_Gentleman: The real trick needs to be getting manufacturers to stop using Android skins. They serve little to no purpose, but make an extra step in the upgrade of any handset not running the stock OS. I don't think it's a coicidence that the Droid, one of the very few phones running vanilla Android, is

So, release on Amazon MP3. Problem solved. Also, this is one of those rare gems where you've got Apple, Inc. and Apple Corps. in the same context, further confusing the matter, logistically.

The color scheme and design asthetic of the keyboard make the thing look cheap and toy-like. I'm thinking Speak and Spell, or those "laptops for kids" which were an 4 inch dotmatrix display that played educational games.
