Minor Sidebar:

I use IE at work and Chrome at home. I don't really do any interface modding beyond whats available in the options as installed. The difference is like night and day. IE is slow to respond to anything and takes forever to load embedded media players and such. Chrome works as fast as I do. Incidentally, my work

So, obviously, spotty reception would be an issue, but other than that how's the sound quality and speed? Does it respond well if I choose to skip a track in a playlist? Do they compress the stream any, or is it just like listening to the CD quality MP3? And, yes, I encrypt my MP3's mostly at 250kbps or above so I,

I finally got to experience the iPhone 4 on Saturday when a friend had his at a dinner party. He tried to demonstrate the antenna problem to me, but couldn't get it to "work." His comment was, "I guess their unreliability is also unreliable." Does that make it a plus, if it doesn't happen all the time? I don't

@nikiaf: That's how multi-tasking works on Android, allowing true-multitasking, but it's not perfect. On my Droid, running 2.1, I never notice slow downs anymore, but earlier itterations of Android had major resource management issues. I'd have to kill stuff with a task killer at least once a day, but now I never

Funny! Seriously, I like it.

"But MTV Games and Harmonix aren't going to let discriminating taste get in the way of Canada's greatest musical contribution to the modern age [...] from coming to Rock Band."

@blackkrystal: damn...will they let the [useless comment] thing rest already?...how many [useless comments by this user] are out there?...and they ALL fricken look the same!!!

@GE128: I'm a little bit more discerning than that. To be honest, I haven't even picked up Green Day RB yet. I like Green Day, but I don't feel the completionist need I'm usually prone to, in this case. I'll probably pick it up eventually, but not for $60 bucks, because I don't like the band enough to want to play

Yeah, we'll see. Blackberry is part of the the old "smartphone" paradigm. If their platform can compete even on the same level with the likes of Android, iOS and probably WP7, it'll be interesting. more likely than not, it'll be a too little, too late kinda thing. Then we have to wait for the Crackberry addicts to

So, has anyone verified that they go away after a few days? Also, is this the same as the problem with the 27" iMacs? In those cases, they obviously didn't go away.

@ACEACEACE: Yeah, the Droid has a gorgeous screen. I came from an LG dumb phone previously, so it was a very big deal for me, but from what I've seen, it's still prettier than the Nexus 1, the EVO, and leaps and bounds above the old iPhone. The new iPhone is reportedly and statistically even better, but I can't have

@adamvacancy: I was very blown away by my Droid upon seeing the screen in action. That's the very first thing I noticed, and I still love it. I haven't gotten to play with a iP4 yet. If it's even better, I may tragically fall in love with what I can't have.

@FiskFisk33: I, for one, embrace the coming of our Google overlords. Did I say overlords? I meant protectors.

Apple's design has got to be intentional at this point. My iPod Nano was made of aluminium and plastic, and after two years of use, there wasn't a scratch on it. Why would you design a phone with two peices of glass and a tiny metal band which doesn't even fully encompass the glass. Anyone who doesn't wrap the

@GE128: I'm not saying that the tracklist isn't important, it's just that it's a non-issue. Songs I want, pretty much across the board are out for RB in one form or another. There has been no word yet on updating tracks for RB3 new instruments, so that may or may not happen on a limited basis. I'd love them to redo

@wild homes loves you but chooses darkness!: I don't know, I find my selection of fart apps and vuvuzela apps sadly lacking on Android. Also, there's only, like, 100 clones of Tetris and Bejewelled vs thousands.

@joshl: NO, it's got the same 5MP camera from the original Droid.

I don't want my phone to get any bigger, and I REALLY don't want Verizon or Blockbuster's crappy video services. That said, the specs are really nice, compared with my Droid Classic. Also, a decent camera would be a BIG step up from the Droid Classic. Could we please stop making cover UI's, though. Stock Android
