Bud I’m with you. I’ve been coming to Deadspin and Kotaku for years but it’s slowly turned in to a place that’s just as hostile to conversation as any other wevite on the far end of the spectrum.

There is a logical problem with this line:
Why do you try to come on to Gawker sites and be rational? This was your first mistake, my friend.
I was thinking more like taking their free healthcare plans away and injecting them all with ass and testicular cancer-aids, but that will do too :-)
I say fire em’ all and start over, both sides of the aisle. No one over the age of 50 is even eligible to run. These parties are both such a joke now that I’m not sure how anyone in the world would take us seriously sans our gigantic bloated military.
It was astonishing to see that most members who voted against Trumpcare voted time and time again to repeal Obamacare, all because they knew it looked good to their constituents, but that it would never actually pass. What a shit show.
Fox is the gateway drug to conservative talk radio.
At some point the left is going to realize that this admin doesn’t give two craps about poll numbers, approval, etc. Anything negative will get spun or ignored, but high disapproval numbers coming from one bubble doesn’t counteract an 87% approval rate from the GOP. Even that number is irrelevant because this ADMIN…
Yeah, I don’t disagree. I just also think C&T is the high point of the Republicans refusing to take yes for an answer. Once they crossed that line there was nothing they couldn’t just say no to.
The best comparison isn’t the ACA, it’s Cap and Trade. The Republicans had just spent a whole year running on c&t as the alternative to Democrats environmental efforts. Then, after Obama won, he made a concession by supporting his opponents plan, only to have them turn against it.
Though I concur with this article, I would like to point out that it is not just men. Most of the political writing on gizmodo media or whatever this is now completely ignore the existence of conservative women. There are just as many of them and their vote counts just the same and no matter what people say, they…
Rush hasn’t shied away from admitting that his goal is to work up the shitheads and generate massive advertising revenue. Thats it.
along with all the regional hosts who blast that shit into suburbs and exurbs, basically telling people how to think. it’s infuriating that people take ONE person’s opinion about things as fact. it’s even more infuriating knowing that those people work in the statehouses and get all their info from those sources.
Fox was a wildly successful effort to put talk radio on TV. It had been working great for them and they figured why not put this in America’s living rooms. It worked and made a lot of truly terrible people fabulously wealthy.
Nah. AM Radio has nowhere near the reach that Fox News does. I’ll grant you that talk radio bullshit filters down to Fox News and gets disseminated in a SLIGHTLY less ridiculous form, but in terms of sheer numbers of people who consume it, radio can’t possibly be the culprit.
Still may have top security clearance, but off the Council. Baby steps.
I mean, she’s not inherently wrong making the argument. Because yeah, just because you aren’t angrily disputing something publicly doesn’t mean you aren’t fighting the issue “behind the curtain” if you will.
They might be important, but they don’t win elections. My evidence: Clinton and the Dems loosing all branches of the government. Also, starting with “Fuck you” may not be the best way to state an argument.
Except “bias” is subjective, which means you’re mad at other people for nothing but the fact that they think differently than you do. And this wasn’t a one-off either; polls consistently show a drop in support for “Bernie’s ideas” (none of which are actually “his,” mind you...) when the actual legislative policy…
Um, no. This young man goes to a prestigious, $34,000/year high school, probably has excellent grades, gave a TEDxTalk, founded TWO youth organizations, worked for both Martin O’Malley’s and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and got invited to a dinner at the White House. I’m not saying this as an insult to…
