Dunno, yo! Are YOU going to take issue with Thrillist?!

I think you’re mixing up productivity gains with income gains and they’re not necessarily the same. The workers in India and the US are equally productive. In India, however, the wages for workers are increasing. Here, the wages are simply disappearing altogehter because jobs are disappearing to India.

I’d argue that the labor market creates that particular inequality. Speaking in very broad terms, I think we can agree that people that are able to use tech make themselves eligible for higher paying jobs.

You can argue they’re related, but income inequality and productivity are not the same thing and we’re talking about two different things there.

I’ll just point you to this.

Yes! That’s exactly right. There should be a law passed that a propeller-beanie MUST be photoshopped into every picture with him in it because he NEEDS one. Propeller beanies were invented to be worn by this man.

Productivity rose due to technological advances like computers, copy machines, etc. It’s not as if people suddenly started cranking stuff out at vastly higher rates than before. Machines made that productivity possible. On that front, I tend to agree with conservatives that relying solely on productivity can be

He’s self-branded. He labeled himself as a “policy wonk” and by sheer repetition, people believed it over time. It’s the old “if you tell a lie often enough and keep repeating it, people start to believe it” deal.

Correct. That’s what I would have said if I was halfway articulate!

I agree. It’s not likely, but I think that the “else” may be moderate GOP House members working with Democrats to get stuff done with both sides compromising. You know, the way things used to work when our government functioned like it was staffed with adults.

He can run a marathon in something like 2 hours. Just ask him!

Hello Detective,

Well, that approach didn’t work either. He actually held a rally in Kentucky to get back at Rand Paul because Paul was going around badmouthing Trump’s idea. Friggin’ McConnell was an actual speaker at the event.

You may be right on that. I take a different view because I think the Freedom Caucus people are able to be incredibly idiotic without fear because they come from the safest districts possible. Arguably, the ONLY way for them to lose their seat is by being primaried from someone that’s even farther to the right than

Well, given the crowd he runs with, saying he’s THE WORST is hyperbole. You’ve got Gohmert & Co. out there.

It was just talk in the papers, but there were at least some GOP House people openly saying that they should work with the Democrats and shitcan the Freedom Caucus people.

My two cents on that is that their was absolutely no bill they could have drafted that would have passed.

You make a good point but for most of the stuff you mention, a player can protect himself by buying an insurance policy in the event he gets injured. That’s perfectly legal and wouldn’t put him at risk for getting suspended for life if he gets caught gambling on a game.

Who wants the A’s? You have to have a city that wants you before you can threaten to move.

NFL - We care about players’ health but still have a hard time acknowledging CTE is a real thing.
