No, what MP3.com did originally was buy 45,000 CDs and uploaded them themselves to their servers. Users had to own a copy of the CD, but they didn't upload their own content. Amazon's argument is that it is just storage, so they don't need to get the music labels permission. Users have to upload their own MP3's to the online drive. Kinda like Dropbox-people just upload their own stuff to that as well. But, yeah, I'm sure they'll need some good lawyers :p

Really? From my experience, it was immediately clear the iPad 2 was faster in just regular usage-not just in apps, but scrolling, pinch to zooming, etc. Safari was faster, apps opened faster, switching between apps, faster. But YMMV, I suppose.

Consumer Reports gets a lot more publicity by taking on Apple in this fashion. Remember their initial iPad 2 impressions? "Not any faster than the iPad 1 from what we can tell". Clicking gold, I tell you.

Actually, I use the free part all the time. I use LogMeIn to access my work PC from my home Mac, and vice versa. For free. Always has been, actually.
