Aside from an earlier comment I made, I think Pontiac would make a great comeback brand, but as a “muscle” brand like Dodge.  They have the pedigree.  Even if it takes away from Camaro sales, you could have GTO’s, Firebirds, etc.

I had a 1982 Datsun/Nissan 200SX.  It too, talked. It was my first car, (a hand me down from my parents in 1994).  When my  parents had it, my dad would always make a dad joke when it would say “The Door is ajar”, he would always say “Looks like just a door to me!”  I miss those dad jokes.  And I kinda miss that car.
