I've looked and looked, but the only real information is that the tech demos at E3 were running on solo GTX 580s. All other information is just speculation using Bad Company 2's requirements, but that was a console port.

It's a quad core at 3.2 GHz stock. I don't do much overclocking, though I suppose I could. I have a Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB, which is probably not as easily overclocked.

These are the components of my current gaming PC. A 560 Ti costs $300 for a marginal increase in performance over a single 460, $130 more than SLI 460s — and the SLI 460s will outperform a single 560 by a great deal.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear.

Battlefield 2!

Alright, PC gaming question, relevant rig components:

It's a Serial ATA connection, so it's an internal hard drive. It may not sit inside the main chassis, but, for all intents and purposes, it is internally operating. "Internal", when referring to computer components, often does not mean the physical location of the component, but its connection. For example, if I

The Xbox 360 Arcade came with no hard drive. The Regular, Pro, and Elite all came with hard drives of varying sizes.

I believe non-final dev kits are underclocked because the system components, while workable, are not necessarily stable. Since consoles are optimized to utilize every single ounce of computing juice the hardware has, it can take a while to get things right.

Damn that put things in perspective.

The Xbox 360 does have an internal hard drive...

I imagine it's for stability. Console hardware is weird — like the Xbox has hybrid RAM/VRAM. Getting everything to run at optimal levels probably takes time.

There's a Counter Strike: Source 2?

I don't think they lied. I think they purposely violated the terms and conditions to have their game expelled to strengthen Origin's hold on the digital distribution market before the release of Battlefield 3.

No, because other services like Direct2Drive already had it.

My gripe is that Origin titles have limited re-downloads and do not have integrated friends systems. They also do not store and maintain a library of your games — only EA games. Steam allows you to launch non-Steam games, if you like, and use their in-game overlay.
