Yeah, I have tended to flip back and forth between Nikes and Mizunos with a spare pair of Asics or Sauconys mixed in there. Mizunos and Nikes just feel faster (and tend to look a little less ugly) than everything else, IMO.

If you need support, I’d maybe try the Zoom Odyssey (basically Nike’s answer to Asics Kayanos or a Brooks Transcend) or LunarGlides — the latter has become my favorite shoe. I’ve also had luck with Mizuno Paradoxes.

I don’t know if Brooks is heavier, but to me they definitely feel more sluggish. Asics and Mizuno (even Nike, and yes, they have high end models) have some good stability options that, if not lighter, definitely feel faster.
