Whoa. Where does she say she wants to be kept?

I think the reactions here are in response to the headline for this piece and not the substance of what she actually said IN CONTEXT. If you read the article, it talks about how she manages her own career, writes her own songs, walked away from a bad deal when she was 14, etc.

Oh dear lord. You of all people have a free pass to never make a decision ever outside of work if you don't have to! You keep airplanes up in the air...you deserve to have someone capable to take care of you in the way you want to be taken care of. I get it—you want to share your life with a partner, not mother a kid.

At the risk of being jumped on, I think I know what she means. I'm the same way with my husband—I have a stressful job in which I make a lot of big decisions all the time. So when I'm at home, I often like for him to take over the decision making when it comes to stuff like choosing a restaurant, movie, food delivery

"If fashion designers and artists were forced to pay for the right to use the imagery they used..."

I'm not sure what part of my comment you think is "nonsense"?

"So you agree that the girls who put photos of themselves out on the web should be called out their poor judgement and humiliated as well?"

I think that having this follow them around for a while is part of the learning experience. These kids are aware enough to know that the internet is not ephemeral. I don't feel very sorry for them right now.

This is appalling, obviously. I hope these comments follow these kids throughout their lives as people Google them for background in consideration for schools, jobs, etc.

Yes, the school one is fair. If your kids went to school with one of the deceased—as one of my friend's daughters did—it will be a bigger deal in their lives and you'll need to address it with them in some way.

I actually do that for a living, for real. It usually takes a little longer than 45 seconds. At least 60. Sometimes 63.

It is also probably that she is wearing a sample of the final product—so the fabric might not be 100% of what it should be in production (i.e. might be more sheer, whatever). Also, all of the models have differing levels of modesty. Some get totally naked while changing and don't mind that people can see (for

I don't think it's a definitive moral right or wrong. Just a personal preference on who you choose to support, whatever that may be. Personally, though I am sure I am missing out on some great films, I don't want to contribute to the legacy, or coffers, of someone like Polanski or Allen (even Chris Brown) with my

No, because Allen seduced his young step-daughter (yes, I realize he was never legally married to Farrow, but that was the relationship all the same).

Regardless of artistic merit. I have never watched a Polanski film specifically because of his actions. Similarly, I don't watch Woody Allen films because he's a slimeball as well. Don't support the work of horrible people.

Chuckles aside, under your definition, marathon runners, ballerinas, etc.—those whose sports cultivate a superthin physique—aren't athletic. Sorry, but that's just not fair.

Perhaps she is not athletic in a Serena Williams or Hope Solo kind of way. But I believe she studied ballet for many years (and has spoken of her training giving her a funny runway walk at first). Certainly, ballerinas are considered athletic? Just because someone is thin (even extraordinarily so) does not preclude

The $250K price tag is for the entire bottle of nail polish, not the mani itself. It's a publicity stunt by a jewelry company called Azature. I'm guessing that they made one bottle of the real stuff so they could get a ton of press for the outrageous price tag—this will help them sell the $25 commercialized version at

This! The whole, it's OK for me but not for you attitude is ridiculous. Of course, the republicans would have to recognize the hypocrisy first, which isn't gonna happen.
