Pitbulls are at least cute, useful, and not trying to take my rights away.

I'm sure that's their reason. I've just never heard "infant" in these conversations, usually "baby."

Sorry to be nitpicky, but how can they put "Infant Lives" in their committee name? Pretty sure you're not an infant until you're born.

Shh. They'll hear you and go to Maine to snatch up all those unnamed buildings.

That’s a good question. You wouldn’t think that the whole “boys will be boys” thing would fly at a school that has such a strict honor code. Regardless of consent, the guy made the decision to have sex.

Her parents went to the school and encouraged her to go there, and she's lived her whole life in this organized religion. So I don't think we can blame her for having a skewed view of the world. Imagine how many times she's been told that bad things only happen on secular campuses where you're allowed to drink and

I understand having an academic honor code to discourage cheating and stuff, but beyond that?

Last week, people were complaining that Jezebel and Gawker were too pro-Bernie. I'm confused here.

For the sake of all the people in this country who are women, non-white, Muslim, immigrants, LGBT, and so on, please don't vote for Trump. It's not just a fuck you to the party. It's a fuck you to the people who are going to be discriminated against if Trump (or Cruz) wins.

I did go to a very small school. He probably did have a lot more options than I did.

As a former university professor, I totally agree. Plus there's probably a way for him to get a tutor through the school, although at this point it might be too late.

But he eats at fancy restaurants! I bet he even knows how to use a fork!

At my college, we were required to fulfill a "diversity" requirement. I don't know if that happens anywhere else, but feminist theory would have been the kind of thing that fulfilled the requirement. So I'd guess that this class is something he's taking because it will fill a requirement he needs to graduate and fits

I'd agree with you that it's probably laziness. And students, especially seniors(?), generally aren't very enthusiastic about required courses. He would probably be just as unmotivated in a class he didn't want to take on another topic. But his mom knows him better than I do, so if she thinks it's all about feminism,

The fact that it says "writer" in the headline (not editor, not writing tutor) makes me think that she's looking to pay someone to do this paper for him.

Offering grief counseling to parents who are losing a baby they wanted sounds great. The rest of it is a little iffy.

There's just no winning. It would be nice if they trained boarding school and college doctors to do rape kits, although I don't entirely trust them not to mess it up.

Now I want to write a poem about this.

Survivor is empowering. But when we're talking about getting people to listen and do something about the problem, victim might be more effective. A "survivor" doesn't sound like someone who needs our help; a "victim" does.

You're right - but people could go to the next town over to have a rape kit. Better to have to drive 5-10 miles than across the state.
