It's always kind of cool to read another person's opinion on a show you like, just to see how different their opinions on it might be from your own. I say this because I've never considered Babylon 5 to be dark and gritty at all. I have very nearly the exact opposite opinion as I think DS9 is the darker of the two.

Yeah, that backup story was great, and I wish Marvel's writers would call back to it more often as it's a pretty solid character reason for why she dresses like she does.

I tend to agree. For every good interaction I've ever had in a comic store, or their close cousin the gaming store, I've had dozens of bad ones that only help to reinforce the stereotypes about those venues. What doesn't help is that many of them employ people who are fans first and foremost, only to discover that

One thing I always liked about the original was how much time is spent with Bodicker's gang. Others have said how much the gun down scene makes it that much more personal when Murphy finally gets revenge later, and I fully agree with that, but I think it's important to add that Verhoeven was really smart to show so

One thing the original really had going for it was a perfect bit of casting all around. Bodicker's so perfect that it's really kind of amazing: he's a perfect villain, he's interesting, and he's got a great look. Ronny Cox is also really great in it: Dick Jones is played up as exactly what you'd expect a soulless

No kidding. That music could make even the Twilight movies seem awesome.

Pretty much, yeah. With the obvious exceptions of Hugh Jackman and the chick who played Viper, a quick look over IMDB says the only non-Japanese was the guy who played Harada, Will Yun Lee, who is of Korean descent. There's probably a couple of minor roles who were just Asians, but it would seem all the main cast is

That's going to be a looonnnng list. Iron Man could fill a list just by himself WITHOUT delving in to his toys!

I'd have liked a Breetai just for the sake of having one. I mean, there's not much of a reason to have the SDF-1 mini, but I still nabbed one just for display purposes. Plus, I kind of figured Breetai could have had some nifty special abilities. Sure, for scenarios I can just use MPA, but it's not quite as cool!

To be fair, I'm not sure entirely sure what the exact issue is, but there are apparently some minis that are unable to be made due to license issues. Whether it's between Palladium and HG, or HG and someone else, I do not know. From Project Update #109:

Really? That's awesome. I love little things like that, shows a wonderful attention to detail and is the kind of thing you can only imagine fans of the show would have done. Now I've got to dig out my copy of that and play it again.

That's fine, because we've finally got an actual Robotech miniatures game on it's way after all these years. Granted, HG kind of screwed over the rights to parts of THAT even to the point where they're not able to use certain Veritechs and other things, but hey, I'll take what I can get. I'll finally have a

Hilariously enough, the whole "start the adventure all over again" was part of the plan at one point. From wikipedia:

Seconded. Battlecry was an absolutely brilliant attempt at a Robotech game, and did a really good job of translating the fights from the cartoon.

Is that the most perfect intro to a character ever or what? It's been said before, and by many people more gifted than I, but that intro is the absolute best in animation when it comes to setting up not only the character, but his world and motivations. It's not just an intro to a cartoon: it's art.

No, you're right, that's the justification for it, and it does work within that context. For me, though, it's an issue of "why these people"? He'd already possibly bulldozed a good bit of Metropolis during his battle, possibly killing far more people in the process. Why not then? It's that ambiguous writing over

I really like Legacy. It starts off a bit rough, perhaps, but it's definitely worth a read if you like Star Wars. One of the better Expanded Universe reads out there, and one of the best comics for sure. Though this has reminded that I still haven't read any of it's relaunch and that's something I have to change.

Don't forget having your entire Guild bust their butts to build a guild city as fast as they possibly can, only to find out that ALL the bonuses from those buildings weren't actually working ( and I believe turned off ). Or that all the hard work your armorcrafters, and the tons of money they needed to make things,

The best part of those Chick Tracts was the hilarious riff on it White Wolf did in their promo materials for Demon: The Fallen. I wish I still had mine, it was a riot.

My dad, when I was a teenager, once told me about how our older and very conservatively religious neighbor approached him one day to inform him that his son (me) had joined a dangerous cult. 10 minutes later he, quite angrily I guess, informed our neighbor that at least our "funny looking dice" weren't causing us to
