For me, this is an easy NP.

BLM and Antifa

And in 2015, a 10 year maintenance contract was given. Which goes until 2025. I know this because I read the article, and also understand basic concepts like addition. So the company underbid, took the money, and didn’t deliver, OR is lying and trying to get more money, after, again, failing to deliver.

Except that something doesn’t add up. They were temporary in 2013, and officially made “permanent” in 2016. The new “10 year” maintenance contract was signed in 2015 - $2.1 million for 10 years of maintenance. They haven’t even made it to the 10 years they agreed to contractually.

I had several female acquaintances who were (Chicago) Lincoln Park Trixies with this exact car (one of them even in this color!). Most of them were automatic, but one drove a manual. Her and I still remain friends to this day.

This car wasn’t worth $6700 back in the aughts. Even without the usual city induced bumper

This is the era of VW that scarred a lot of us GenX’ers. I don’t have a huge entourage of friends, but there was a point when 5 or 6 of them had Golfs or Jettas of this era. I wanted a Golf, but being the cautious type I pivoted to Mazda. None of them ever owned a VW again (except 1 glutton for punishment in a

As a former owner of a 2001 Jetta, run! Run away, fast.

Rebuilt title? With no explanation why it has a rebuilt title? For all the money? No Dice.

The headgaskets are an issue for the N/A motors, not the turbo ones.

Oh for fucks sakes!! First the Saab and now this. You really don't want my family to have a vacation this year do you?

A 2005 Subaru Legacy wagon for $8500 with the 2.5L turbo and the manual... and it only has 107,000 miles and hasn’t been modified or beaten to shit?

To be Mr. Consistency here, this one follows the golden rule of ten, over ten years old, over 100,000 miles, under $10,000 by quite a bit. Well maintained Subaru Legacy GT (the family man’s WRX) with a stick for $8,500, easy nice price.  An outback of similar miles and year will cost as much or more these days.

“Unmolested 100% stock.” It also comes with a clean title...”

Easy NP. Yes, it has >100K miles, but the car seems well-cared for and it’s a SUBARU STICK SHIFT GT. It’ a hoot to drive.

Look at the current used car market, and consider the rarity of a reasonably quick manual AWD wagon and a decent interior. There aren’t a ton of us out there who want those things, but there definitely aren’t enough of them out there for all of us. Shit I’m considering buying this and I live in Minnesota.

NP. That’s super low miles for a stock suby. Lots of life left and pretty clean for its age.

Absolutely NP all day long.

NP. Probably the best generation of the Legacy and fun car to drive.

Someone should buy this before the wife burns the clutch trying to learn the art of the modern theft deterrent system.

As someone who owns a turbocharged Subaru and has replaced the motor a few times, this is a NP. Clean exterior and interior. Seems to be family owned. Doing a swap once the inevitable happens would be a hair easier than my 2004 WRX as well. Perfect for a daily driver. Again, I say NP.
