I think most mobile phone cameras even capture IR, not much use by itself without a filter but useful tip is testing IR remote controls, viewing them with your camera and seeing if they "light up" on screen.
Why assume I have an iOS device? Besides if I've already been using Evernote for years, is there any advantage in changing, what do I do with my existing notes? And isn't Evernote still supported on far more platforms?
Lack of cross platform is critical for me and is as fundamental as its ability to take notes. Hence the original question of best to take notes and keep sync across all devices. I really liked OneNote when I first tried it many years ago and even though I have it installed on my main machine I see no point in putting…
How does it trap in heat? Aluminium has a much much higher thermal conductivity than almost any plastic.
Love Wunderkit and love Wunderlist. I don't even mind Wunderkit going if only they'd please please open up an API for Wunderlist. Let the community build upon the great Wunderlist and make their own systems. I can already think of creating my own apps or IFTTT coming out with a Wunderlist channel. Hopefully with them…
I sometimes used malaria as my example. We do have to be careful of definitions and when people automatically use "organic" and "natural" to automatically mean better/healthier it is just nonsense.
I disagree, a specific fork is quite likely to have a design patent on it, you could create your own inspired by the overall idea of a fork (as long as the fork invention isn't patented, it won't be but that "if" applies to almost any physical product) I suppose but to copy it exactly would be violating the design…
Why would someone with a brain injury be sending out job applications not proof read by others? Either way you slice it not someone likely to be a good job candidate compared to others.
It's not quite a good analogy as being deaf is a physical/medical thing. I'm not sure there's a valid reason for not caring about your spelling and grammar. I still see that as an additional indicator to character and mindset.
Writing code requires precision and attention to detail, certainly to do it efficiently. If comparing two candidates of equal qualification and one demonstrates attention to detail and precision in their grammar and spelling I'd argue that they're more likely to be a better coder because they care more about getting…
Free yes but I don't think that'd constitute legal compared to the methods in the article.
Unidentified Flying Objects, by definition something that has not been identified! A paper bag in the wind is a UFO until it can be ascertained that's what it is. Although whether or not the paper bag is hiding extraterrestrial life is something I hope the course will address.
Depends on jurisdiction, but here in the UK you don't need someone's permission to film someone and publish their image (as long as they're in public).
I loved Astrid but it became far too bloated. After one updated more than doubled it's size on my phone I had no choice but to uninstall. Would be interesting to know if it's still like that. Since using Wunderlist it's made me wonder if Astrid was just really overcomplicating it.
Not to mention the more cross platform and/or platform independent the better.

I actually don't use two-factor authentication any more on Lastpass. The important stuff already have their own two factor authentication (gmail, bank accounts, gaming accounts). Plus I have backup solutions so even if I had two factor authentication, lost my yubikey AND Lastpass's servers got shutdown I still have…
Lastpass autofills for you so in fact takes even less time than if it was a remembered password you typed. I must have about 400 different passwords now, I don't see any other method really without wasting my time.
I'd go further and say almost everyone already has broken the law in some way in their past, even if unknowingly. E.g. here in the UK ripping a CD to MP3 player is illegal, we don't have any kind of "fair use" clause. Even though most people assume there is. And as in number 3., many things could be interpreted as…
