I agree with the others, the title is very misleading, I don't think anyone would define being available on OS X and iOS as cross platform. I'd consider Apple as being an all encompassing platform. In exactly the same way I wouldn't describe Windows 7 and Windows Phone 7 as being cross platform.

It won't let me install it, Google Play says it's incompatible.

I'm surprised it seems to be incompatible with the HTC Desire (at the moment).

Guess I'm non-eye dominant. E.g. with the pointing at object test, if I close each eye my finger appears either side of the object. The triangle test, I actually get two triangles while focussing beyond them, if I focus on the triangle I get a superposition of objects from both eyes. It's a wonder I don't bump into

Well today is a typical English summer weather (I'm off work for a bit at the moment). I.e. pouring down with rain, think I'll give the one hour outside a miss ;)

It's a historical term that predates the iPhone and relates to terminology of something that actually are called "jails" in the FreeBSD operating system.

The fact many external hard drives are designed to be placed vertically I think demonstrates it makes little difference.

Businesses. Our company paid for licenses, can't have illegal/unlicensed software in a legitimate business, especially if you have to adhere to strict government/military standards.

You don't HAVE to pay for anything. That's not the point I was making, this isn't freeware as you're violating their license by not paying for it after the trial period. It's simply in this case they only have a nagging screen and are not limiting the functionality after the trial period. You can use any software

I think they are replacing it with a pure Skydrive application.

Dropbox certainly is awesome but this is really useful for "pure" syncing between computers without the cloud. It's the only thing I use Live Mesh for in addition to Dropbox.

I was thinking of this exact book when I read this post. I haven't got the book yet but I did listen to a podcast interview with Susan Cain.

They seem to be killing off all the useful things I found in the Live Essentials. The other one being Live Writer.

I do love Wunderkit and been using it for a while to cover home/personal projects and my day job projects.

Thanks for the reminder, I've just updated all my account info there and they've improved it quite a lot in the 3 years I've not been using it. Definitely the best option as an alternative to Mint for us in the UK.

I've been using Google Music for a while now. As I already mentioned, I hate the regional restrictions in the first place.

I agree with the shoehorning of Kanban into Trello too. I'll give both of them more of a play (my idea at moment is to make my own Kanban desktop app anyway, so I'm kinda looking at what I like and what I don't with the web apps).

To be honest I've not used either in anger so it's just from first impressions rather than any kind of heavy use.

The addition of the Pomodoro timer is interesting and the limit of tasks on the in progress list. When you go into the settings they're pretty much as versatile as each other in set up. But trello has a nicer interface and user experience in my opinion.
