2 days in Sadako vs Kayako, sherlock!

Wow! The self-aware deadpan comedy in this movie flew straight over your head, didn't it?!

You could actually put "444 444 444" and "Katasumi" in place of the first segment of Ju-On The Curse 1. And it would flow better

Rings is part 3 of the american remake series.

Ju-On (The Grudge) series:

Freddy vs Jason's opening scene has Freddy killing a small girl, for pete's sake! Why does this go over everyone's head?? Also, he got to kill Lori's mother and arguably Freeburg because he was already posessed by Freddy before Jason got to him.. And he also got Jason. Deal with it ;)

This movie isn't about depression. It's about islamic oppression

Just watched it. It's not THAT similar to The Babadook, really. Okay, the monsters are obviously symbolic of islamic oppression, but that's where the similarities end. Pretty surprised that an iranian movie, of all things, would dare to be so vocal about it.. Also, the child wasn't nearly as annoying as the child in

Not clinical depression..

It IS a reflection on depression, the director has even said so! Wow, a lot of movies must really fly way over your head if you're in fact this naive..

No, it's an allegory for manic depression. And a terrible one at that

Kelly being Ash's daughter would have been just as retarded.
Good riddance, Craig DiGregorio. You don't know what Evil Dead is!

It's not a ghost story. It's an allegory of manic depression. And it's disgusting

I don't need to look for a deeper meaning when it's clear as day for everyone to see.. jesus….

I don't need to look for a deeper meaning when it's plain for anyone with half a brain to see….

But it DOES try to have a deeper meaning. The director himself was mortified by the implications of the ending. That's the sole reason he's in the process of writing part 2, to clear up that mistake and the unintentional message this movie sends.

Google David Sandberg defends ending to Lights Out. It's a bad horror film with a horrible message. Obviously, some people are too dumb to see a blatant message in a movie….

Bull

People with schizophrenia don't have imaginary friends, moron. Don't try to insult me by commenting on my spelling. What are you? 5 years old??
It's pretty evident that it was the manic depressive mother who was responsible for the murders. Or did that fly over your head as well?

Yes, this movie is most definitely about manic depression (bipolar disorder). The monster is simply a metaphor for this.
I mean c'mon. The movie practically hits you over the head with this point!
The mother of the protagonist is a manic depressive. "Are you manic right now?!" ugh!
She stops taking her meds, and THAT'S
