I’m a little confused: does this actually read like an apologia for Sanders? Because I thought it was pretty clear that that was not what I was doing.

I don’t usually get into the the comments this early, so I’ll address the TST question in a bit, but first, I just want to say this:
Man. I’m obviously going to vote for Democrats, because what the fuck else am I supposed to do. But I am getting sick of being told by the most powerful people on Earth that the responsibility for fixing things lies with me. And I can’t help but think that the party IN FUCKING POWER RIGHT NOW telling people they can…
No, listen, you see this is Bernie Sanders fault because uh, if Hillary Clinton had become president then RBG could have retired under the first woman president and we would have all lived happily ever after with a super majority!/s
Yeah, but at least journalists don’t think that they are being witty by writing the ridiculously overused phrase “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes”.
I’ve said before that you can tell how much fear he has for regulators in the way that he openly treats the SEC with contempt, but very much does not do that with either the EU or Chinese regulators (he quickly reaffirmed that Twitter would follow EU rules upon purchase). They have the actual willingness and ability…
“The document goes on to suggest three different “action items” to address the situation: SpaceX should “publicly address and condemn Elon’s harmful Twitter behavior”; the company should “hold all leadership equally accountable” for bad behavior; and SpaceX needs to “clearly define what exactly is intended by SpaceX’s…
The ones who were fired can now go work on a different billionaire’s phallically shaped Earth escape vehicle
I think she was claiming that several employees who signed it were pressured into. Presumably, the ones who (under threat of firing) confessed they had been pressured into signing it were not the ones fired, while those that did not repent were fired.
Of course there’s no freedom of consequences, but you’re taking the mocking of Musk’s “much freedoms” shtick too literally. I doubt anyone is shocked people were fired, but it’s rich that the guy who runs his mouth 24/7 & whines about censorship fires people who point out he’s doing the company a disservice by acting…
“This is just one of many ways that Musk is a piece of shit con-man.”
Elon is a champion of free speech, unless he doesn’t like what you’re saying.
True, but in this case the Free Speech Advocate was the one who controlled those consequences. He did not need to fire employees for criticizing him in public.
It’s hypocritical for Musk to claim to be a free speech absolutist and then fire people for their speech. Doesn’t matter that he’s legally allowed to fire them.
First rule of Crazy Supervillain club is don’t talk about the Crazy Supervillain
The point is that it’s pretty rich for someone to talk about how they’re such a free speech advocate, then fire people for criticizing them in public.
This is why you unionize folks. Until the day that we have Just Cause termination, it’s your only defense in an At-Will employment legal regime.
Can’t wait for the Elon fanboys to come into this thread and try to argue that this is actually a good thing.
I'm pretty sure the writers who called management “herbs” moved on long ago, for whatever that's worth.
Oh surely literal rocket scientists and engineers will be easy enough to replace right?
