It seems like the X3 is very specifically the same overall bike for shorter people. That they choose to make the smaller bike also have smaller wheels is an interesting choice. 

Which proves they are shitty bikes (with a nice design), a bike model needs to be available in at least 3 sizes. Get a Gazelle, that’s a proper Dutch bike.

I think these are nicely designed but a mid drive would ride better.  Suspension adds weight and absorbs pedaling power so it's better to avoid it on paved surfaces. A suspension fork would help with the motor weight while preserving the efficiency of the rigid rear. Worst case get a suspension seat post.
