As a trans woman who’s been put in the hospital and harassed incessantly by people who feel emboldened by exactly the sort of rhetoric Chapelle and Rowling spew (and that’s just this year, and in California of all places), I’m sure the comments on this post are going to just be lovely. I can’t wait to have some white,

So we have a regulator for an industry whom a CEO in that industry dislikes, right? That’s a great recommendation itself, same as a professional shoplifter saying “Boy oh boy, I sure dislike that particular mall cop over there.”

The fact that the attorneys dropped the ball doesn’t change the fact that the results are going to be Activision not facing the repercussions they deserve for their treatment of employees.

It’s even worse than that. White people came to the Americas, took their land, completely ignoring thousands of years of occupancy, traditions, and religion, and then proceeded to profit off of that land. They also slaughtered thousands of people and forced the survivors to live on postage-stamp sized parcels of land,

Do you think it would be cool if a company came out with a car called “The Jew?” Or that it wouldn’t be bizarre if Jeep’s next crossover was called “The Korean?”

They can’t. Police unions have forced* contracts on cities all over the country that make it damn near impossible to fire a cop for anything short of murder that’s held up by a guilty verdict at trial. Even with police departments try to get rid of bad cops like these, they end up having to hire them back and pay them

It doesn’t matter if he is the biggest drug dealer in all of Ohio. It doesn’t matter if he was on his way to read Winnie The Pooh to blind transgender orphans.

I have never seen a video of a white kid with ear gauges vaping THC being dragged by from a WRX.  But I’ve seen white militias get away with taking over government buildings armed with machine guns.  Wonder why.

Right? If it’s a KNOWN drug house, why not just go get a warrant and bust it up? Oh right... they don’t actually know that or have any real evidence.

You don’t get it do you?  People have the right to be treated with dignity, especially when confronted by government representatives.  Police should be held to a much higher standard than thugs, which is what these “officers” appeared to be.

Did they find drugs? Did they have any probable cause? Bad bust, bad cops, no doughnuts.

Yep. It sucks that the Biden administration is out a useful champion who’s pretty good with the public. I don’t disagree.

USDA researcher here. I stand by my use of figurehead. I like Tom Vilasck (fellow Iowan). I think he does a good job as Ag Sec. I think he did a good job during the Obama administration. Sonny Perdue didn’t do a terrible (grading on a curve here) job during the previous administration.

He may have the body of a twunk, but he has the soul of a twink. And that’s what counts.

He’s definitely a twunk.

You seem to be under the impression that the department doesn’t have an entire staff of career bureaucrats whose job it is to do the actual work of the department.

I mean, they were insane enough to think a two-tiered contract is a reasonable offer after a year of record profits in the tightest labor market in living memory. So, yeah.

I also work in a plant - well, technically, beside a plant, since I'm in the office. We don’t put our accountants on the line because we’re not fucking stupid.

You may be missing the point. In this case, the union is better because everyone with experience is part of the union. They aren’t inherently better at building things, sure, but people with experience building things are generally better at building things than people who don’t have experience.
