This is amazing. I guess I should have been reading the Roundtables this season.

I think a lot of older parents (40+) who didn't grow up with the internet don't quite know what is out there.

I'm willing to consider an argument, like Erin's here, that in the GOP there exist real alternatives and less-real ones, and Meghan falls in the latter camp.

But we need to stop lauding her transparent efforts to mislead people into thinking that today's Republican party is a sane place for young women....And it's time we stopped congratulating her for having an opinion that isn't terrible and wake up and smell the bullshit.

Relax. I'm almost certain she's indoors.

Eh, I kind of understand it. Jen seems like a self-confident cougar who knows how to have sex just for fun — everything would be a laugh a minute with her. While Scarlett seems like she might have deep emotional needs.

I'm no expert, but if you're looking for someone to cheat with, then you're probably looking for someone who presents herself as able to contemplate sex as a pure physical pleasure, completely distinct from emotional attachment.

Outstanding. For this joke, the journey truly was the destination.

Suddenly, I don't feel so alone anymore.

Although in an intimate relationship, almost everyone will have some insecurities, and responding to your partner's insecurities in a sensitive and compassionate manner can help to build exceptionally strong emotional bonds.

A relevant point, which I haven't seen brought up elsewhere in the responses to this post.

Very thoughtfully expressed. Thanks for this.

One word here in praise of folks who aren't celebrities or Twitter personalities, but just regular people: People who've concluded that while the benefits of being beautiful or thin probably won't accrue to them anytime soon, they'll keep persevering regardless of what people around them say. The slings and arrows

Would it beggar your belief that the president can issue pardons unilaterally under almost any circumstances?

Fair enough. Thanks for clearing that up.

I think Gavagirl's and Rooo's comments in the thread noted below deserve to be repeated, once, up here:

Hearted for spectacular intellectual honesty.

An excellent point, worth repeating.
