I’ve never seen Logan, but I’m sure it achieves appropriately Mangoldian levels of cromulence.
Oh yeah don’t get me wrong I love First Class and it was a great starting point for a reboot. I just don’t think professor X should be the protagonist again. I’d prefer something like maybe it’s Cyclops has just graduated from student to teacher and it’s his first time actually leading his own X-men. Or actually but…
I actually loved Other M and I really feel like I’m in the minority on that.
“don’t be surprised if this thing ends up looking less like The Wrestler and more like one of Homer’s dinner party fantasies.”
Same. I was happy they had some many one piece characters, but Blackbeard and Boa? Odd choices.
I really have high hopes for this. The last console Fire Emblemes was the best of the series and this really looks fantastic. The art style is fantastic and it really looks like they are honing on the character interactions, with support cutscenes and everything.
i agree with your joke, they’ve really given that impression lately.
so is the walking dead, nut you never see a character laugh it off when they are bitten. it’s a wrestling show, we accept the fact achievement are made up, but we need something to connect and keep watching. if nothing matter just go and change my channel. i need storyline to have some sense, people on winning streak…
I know this is going to really blow your mind, but Die Hard wasn’t a documentary.
People analyze the actions and rationalizations of characters in fictional entertainment all the time.
The massive amount of gender conditioning our societies do will end up pushing a small number of people into extreme sets like this where their gender ratio is overwhelmingly one sided.
If game studios actually released those numbers, we’d have a better idea, but as it stands it is really hard to know. I agree it is probably profitable, but most mainstream entertainment is (I mean, Solo likely made Disney money). The real question is “was it successful”, and that’s really only a question Bethesda,…
Yeah, I get people feel some type of way about a game they like getting crapped on nearly every day, but to act like it is totally normal to have access to the test room, or that it isn’t buggy because a single issue which allowed people to dupe items has been patched out, in a multiplayer game is categorically not a…
About 20 years of outside progress.
The marketing department dictates game design now and ethics have been thrown right out the window but at it’s core it’s all running on the same engine so what we are seeing is a major shift in the core design philosophy of a company that doesn’t understand that your game won’t make money on micro-transactions if it…
You don’t leave these kind of things open to the client in a multi-player game. Leaving it in a single-player game is something that is commonly done (for example, you can get into them with console commands for all the Elder Scrolls titles) but you have some kind of authentication or server side check that ensures…
“Wow how broken is this game?”
I totally agree, and I’m usually the guy saying “well, game design is more complicated than your simplistic view of what you think happened.” Honestly, I’ve been on disorganized indie teams that seem to have had more general awareness about what was going on, our goal, our challenges, etc. and I just can’t honestly…
