Just another reason why the games industry needs to unionise. Honestly I think they're just trying to get it out the door now since it has had such a long development. I'm expecting another bunch of layoffs post release and a downsizing of the studio unless DA:D does well. I doubt it though, by the time it comes out

No they were forcing most of their studios to develop using the frostbite engine to keep things in house and allow assets to be shared between studios. It’s one of the biggest reasons Inquisition had a troubled development as frostbite wasn't built for large scale rpgs.

I mean the best thing for them to do would probably consider it semi-canon and do a bunch of retcons. Likely they will quietly pretend they never happened and barely address them.

So you’re saying when my nephew comes online on Steam and is playing Wallpaper Engine...

Get one of your smaller studios to remaster GX/AX for the Switch. Introduce a robust online mode and use the sales to determine whether a new entry is viable. It’s kinda silly how often people ask about F-zero and yet Nintendo effectively say that they don’t think the interest is there every time.

The only other thing they could really add is a story mode of sorts, however part of me wants that to be exclusive to the F-Zero franchise of which we need a sequel or a remaster of GX/AX at least.

Insider knowledge?? :O

It certainly feels that way. From what I’ve gathered over the years, I suspect that Nintendo thinks F-Zero along with other franchises fit firmly into that spot where it’s unlikely to have mass market appeal or a large enough existing player base unlike Mario Kart; or the potential for growth.

That’s the crazy thing, I don’t get why they don’t at least do a remaster of GX/AX with online play and see how well it does to guage the viability of continuing the franchise. But Nintendo plays it weirdly safe with their IPs.

Maybe like Breath of the Wild what you need to do is take away some of the railroading. Make the game more open-world and free-roaming. Part of the pleasure I used to find with the games was exploring new areas and finding new things. None of the recent games have had anything coming close to the Unown ruins in

To be honest I didn’t suffer from any bugs so I can’t comment on that.

If you read the blog post it is clear that what they’ve added is incomplete, there are a lot of bugs and glitches resulting from trying to import code from a dlc made by a separate developer. Trying to recreate alot of the assets and integrating it within the new systems whilst also making sure the experience is

Sins of a Solar Empire has aged but is still great if anyone is interested in a recommendation.

Maybe in age but they have the maturity of teenagers.

Demon Layer?

This looks amazing! My first metroid was Fusion so I’ve loved the 2D style metroidvanias ever since. I could never get into the 3d Prime series because I find fps aiming using a control pad difficult and nauseating to play, so it’s nice to see some love for the older style from fans.

I’m guessing this is going to fall under the scope and vision being too grand for the realities of development, coupled with covid related issues and general mismanagement since Paradox are thanking Hardsuit for laying the foundations for the game” indicating that the game is nowhere near completed.

Sounds like they might be hosting multiple servers for WoW Classic, some staying at the last update prior to BC and some progressing to BC.

Just wait until you get contagion. Stack loads of crit chance and damage mods and you can just sit back and watch the numbers fly.
