Because you didn’t catch the complex meaning, you went with the easier one and you think he is the issue here.

Downey’s point was that ‘cultural genocide’ is what Mexico suffered at the hands of Spaniards and his spoken language is the proof. Let’s think a little harder here.

I think he is saying a guy whose language is the result of a country being the recipient of mass cultural genocide (Spain to Mexico) maybe should understand how silly he sounds with that statement.

*the ghost of George Clooney now floats away into space....*

It was queen bee catty. It’s also pretty dumb to attach genocide to MCU movies.

I’m not sure we watched the same episode. This was at best a D; easily the worst of the season, and one of the worst of the series.

I didn’t quite like this as much as you; wasn’t an outright bad episode, just wasn’t very good and more like the traditional setup episodes of S1 and 2. More like B/B-.

I was initially disappointed that they didn’t give Lev Gorn some more nuanced material to work with as Kuznetsov because he’s a damn good actor who has a lot of range when he’s allowed to do more than be a stereotypical Russian bad guy.

This is the best Sci fi show on right now ,but this sope opera stalker loon kid is bringing it down

They’re also clearly setting up Young Avengers and something like the Thunderbolts.

There’s Kang as the obvious guess, but after Dr. Strange & TMOM mentioned incursions a couple of times, I strongly suspect Kang’s timeline/multiverse shenanigans are going to be interwoven with an MCU take on Secret Wars (and maybe Battleworld thereafter).

That was the single most-informative paragraph I’ve ever read in an internet comment. I will be using that quote, as well. Fire, indeed.

They already limit how many people can watch at once (one at a time on the lowest tier plan) which is reasonable and keeps any password sharing among people you’d trust. If someone lets their parents use their Netflix account they either have to spring for an expensive multi-user plan or never use it at the same time.

I think Howard is a prisoner of others expectations.

The actor playing young Kim was great. She had that sharp‐eyed glare down pat.

I’m genuinely impressed that the wig department managed to find a hairstyle that Mandy Moore can’t pull off.

BTW, Phillip’s story of his wife getting killed by a drunk driver was straight out of season 1 ubermaudlin dreck. I almost expected him to continue:

My favorite part was the super-casual reveal that Kate is still alive in the 2040s, after the show let us stew for years with the implication of her absence when everyone else including Toby comes to see the dying Rebecca.

I could not agree more. I feel like I’m in the minority but I feel that Kate has made Toby jump through hoops since Day 1 - and to your point is always all about her way or the highway. Today’s episode was the perfect example. They BOTH messed up leaving the gate open the door unlocked - and were both reeling from

it’s reassuring that the show seems to agree that Toby is more in the wrong here.”

Also makes a ton of thematic sense for the show, frankly. Reginald Hargreeves was an abusive, domineering asshole who brutalized his children into the shape he wanted them to be. Viktor rejecting him by embracing a more truthful identity would feel downright victorious. Excusing the pun.
