Which brings me to the big qualm I had with this episode, which is its refusal to engage with Nicky as a part of Jack’s traumatic past too.

The visual storytelling is working for me fully still at this point, to the degree that so far I’m not even bothered by the fact that they just did essentially introduced Dancing with the Wolves to Star Wars.

Unless they drop the ball on the finale next week, this is far and away better than Season 8 which had no quality episodes at all.
