“God damn it Dad, why did you have to take the rust off”

Oh, come on.

I just got back from a funeral and this is what I needed to cheer me up a bit, thanks. Awesome dad!

Can’t wait to see what they do with it. The short story is an interesting quick read.

There is no getting them back.  The party is going to have to be destroyed and something built in its place.

Republicans are so far gone.

I like how fragile these people are to wearing a mask. God forbid they had real problems like police or ICE kidnapping them...

What’s the difference between kidnapping and an arrest by unidentified police officers in an unmarked car who don’t announce themselves and don’t read the suspect their rights?

So if some hyper-aggressive men in civilian clothing ran up, surrounded you, and forced you into an unmarked vehicle, you’d be cool with that?

Plain clothes, running up and snatching someone without clear establishment of what authority you are representing is not how we as Americans accept an arrest. This person was not a violent extremist or anything that would require a tactic of this level. Nor would would we arrest someone who did meet that level in

How did Tesla post a profit? By selling carbon credits

I don’t disagree with anything you said. Rooting for us to fail is ridiculous. This company provides a comfortable middle class lifestyle for many Americans, both blue collar and white collar. Yes, there are certainly some valid criticisms of our vehicles, but I don’t think we make any products that are inherently

Same, but part of that is a credit to the fact that, regardless of how much people want to talk, GM treats it’s employees very well (yes, even the employees in the plants).

Well of course they don’t make as much money as Sierra or Yukon, I’m sure anyone realizes that those are higher volume and higher margin vehicles, but that doesn’t mean that Canyon/Colorado and the vans don’t make money. Every profitable vehicle built and sold to dealerships is important for the company.

I’m pretty surprised and happy about that. I don’t know about you, but for my family the 20% deferral has honestly not been painful since we aren’t really spending money on anything other than basic living expenses. I realize that is an incredibly privileged thing to say.

I hate how takes like the above just completely mitigate all the hard work that a lot of us at GM have done to achieve those results.

1st. Gear: Well, it makes sense in normal times to move folks around to fill open spots. In the age of COVID, it still makes sense, although the optics are beyond shitty.

You are a moron.

When every other modern country has gotten it under control, and we haven’t (and now we’re in the company of Brazil and Russia), you know we fucked up bad. America in its current condition is borderline failed state.
