Enthusiasts’ buying steps
They could have offered it with the V6 and still wouldn’t have sold any. Even on enthusiast sports cars, the take rate on the 911 is 20% and Corvette was around 25%. No way any car in the entry lux sedan market would have crossed 10% no matter what engine it was paired with.
Jalops: I WILL TOTALLY BUY THIS CAR IF THEY ACTUALLY MAKE A MANUAL
I did my part. The only new cars I’ve bought have been manuals. Bow before me, nerds.
Here’s my take:
I find it toxic as Democratic vs. Republican.
So, all you people who said you were totally going to buy one...used...in a few years.
I’m a Tesla owner who does Crossfit and orders black coffee at Starbucks. I’ll come to your house and yell through the window if I have to.
It’s basically a metric of thoughts about the car prior to buying, then how you feel after owning it.
Thanks for confirming you’re a complete piece of shit.
Am I the only one tired AF with the whole Bronco craze? Seriously this thing is so riduculously plump looking, I m surprised it doesn’t say Tonka instead of Ford on the back. It has some nice details but the hype is way, way, way overblown. Not to mention how many of them will pointlessly bulldoze around and destroy…
Exactly. I sold cars part-time at Carmax for a couple of years. I’m a self-professed “car guy” and thought my enthusiasm for the product would be an advantage. I found out very quickly that most people don’t know shit about cars and don’t want to know shit about cars. They want something to get them reliably from…
they didn’t throw away a good name. neither the trailblazer or the S-10 Blazer was a particularly beloved platform. it’s really only the early K5 Blazers that people actually like.
the non-base C8's won’t just match the performance of a Ford GT. They will annihilate it. the 2017 GT was marginally quicker than a C7 Z06…
As much as I love the Bronco, the Blazer is almost certainly going to sell more and be more profitable.
Well, seeing as how the GMC Hummer is going to have a removable roof, there’s definitely gonna competition
Also “best that it could do” vs. “company that makes a large profit on each one because the parts all carryover and because there is massive volume in the CUV market are 2 very different things.
The Blazer is not for you, and it was selling just fine before the ‘rona. At some point Jalops need to realize that 98% of the new car market isn’t us and so 100% of the cars are not for us.
Customers care about styling and tech and USB ports and fuel economy; they say it in the market research, they say it in the…
The Bronco Sport is not a Bronco and not the focus of my comment or the article. It’s disingenuous to lump them together because the Sport is not really much different in concept than the Blazer is (car-based crossover with a famous name).
