You tell a nearly identical tale of my experiences.
You tell a nearly identical tale of my experiences.
Our country requires both automobiles and a job to survive; cars are exceedingly expensive and many people have to take loans out for even small amounts to cover it.
Covering basic needs isn’t a first world problem, its just twisted because capitalism without restraint ain’t the answer.
Oh I can see why if what I am experiencing is being seen by others. I work from home so I don’t get on the freeway as much anymore. Prior to the pandemic I commuted every single day. Back then maybe every few days I’d see some moron doing 100MPH or driving like a maniac. But now? I can’t think of the last time I went…
Being unable to take on more debt for a necessary item because you’re already mired in debt for another necessary item doesn’t sound like a problem you should be having in the first world.
That’s exactly what happened when Ford had to change the fuel economy rating on the C-max. That was sort of a different scenario,
I was really hoping to see a picture of the front of the car, and see a license plate that read “OH YEAH!” on it.

Indy resident here. The spot where this happened isn’t exactly a place where people can go fast due to traffic and the fact that it’s a two lane road. This guy must have been actively trying to be a stereotype.

Appears there’s literally no one in charge.
If you think the economy is bad now you haven’t been alive very long.
1st: While I despise Manchin’s tactics, I am supportive of efforts to build up the domestic EV supply chain. We’ve given enough to China and other foreign competitors. It’s time to bring it home.
“Electric vehicles are also suffering a political backlash in the US.”
Whats funny is that before Trump started mouth farting about EVs, my very conservative family were thinking it wasn’t too bad (having ridden in mine, and knowing the gas savings) and actually test drove a few with positive reaction.
I’m very pro-EV, but I’m with your family on two points. My wife and I both drive EVs.
If you consider the country roughly divided in half (just for sake of argument), and if you think there are about the same number of people who are planning to buy a new car in the next year or so, then polarization along these lines might actually push up the pace of EV adoption. They’re at about 15% in California…
