This is Toronto. Apparently there’s a showroom studio in a shopping mall here that caters to high end retailers. Sort of makes sense that it wouldn’t be a typical dealership. Not as though they have an extensive lineup to display. I don’t know if that’s where this particular owner sourced his car though.

Lucid only delivered like 4k cars though in all of 2022. They only built like 7k cars. Rivian, another EV startup of similar vintage as Lucid DELIVERED 20k vehicles in 2022. They delivered 8k vehicles in Q4'22 alone. Lucid is struggling and with the big names catching up fast, I don’t think Lucid will ever have a

It would be nice. There isn't a single Star Wars property that isn't directly connected to Luke Skywalker. *Yawns in Shyriiwook*

Star Wars seems to benefit from a long hiatus between movies. TPM and TFA each made the most money of their respective trilogies. The anticipation is built into the experience. When they tried to make it like an MCU thing with Rogue One and Solo, the numbers started to go down.

How will this not result in a class action lawsuit? People paid up to $15,000 for a feature that will likely never be implemented for their vehicle.  #fuckelon

Surprising as those pre-order asks are just dealer add-on type accessories. The dealer is to blame for this.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, that's really helpful!

It’s definitely possible. Present day, CCS1 type charging stations charge different prices to different people. Some have deals with car companies, some have paywalls for access to different price tiers, some are different depending on time of day, etc...

In the US, the Golf used to be the Rabbit, then the Golf, and now it’s not really a thing anymore. So here I could sort of see it, if the ID.4 creates enough of a brand identity in EVs. But the rest of the world? Lunacy.

The whole point is that yes, all these conveniently located chargers exist, but if they don’t work when you need them to it makes for a bad experience.

Here is the thing about range anxiety, it isn’t really about range per se. Americans are aware, dimly admittedly, on some level that they are forgetful idiots. We all kinda know this, it is just a case of how willing we are to admit it, and if you run out of gas because your idiot brain forgot to fill up eight days in

Cool... this is for the rest of us that don’t want a Tesla.

they should be getting better at flagging chargers that doesn’t work first

At least you got a VIN. I’m still sitting in limbo waiting (ordered @4:30 pm EST 9/15, The moment they opened the banks). Hoping to get a VIN in the coming months and actually get it by summer but not feeling confident. At least I ordered from my old dealership insold cars for, for 23 years. So I know it’s on the up &

At least you got one scheduled.  I watch the forums and see them spitting out higher trim and fleet orders and then picking the rest out of a hat.  There is no rhyme or reason and they still let more orders in than they could accommodate.  The orders were 65% hybrid and 35% ecoboost and their manufacturing capacity is
