Not to be overly pedantic but it wasn’t fallout. Fallout is what you get from a nuclear explosion. It was nuclear material they cleaned up - plutonium. Plutonium is nasty, toxic, radio-toxic, and generally dangerous stuff but it is nothing like fallout.

While this whole situation is a mess, the part that most people don’t get is that as long as this doesn’t morph into something catastrophic with a provocation that escalates to shots being fired, the underlying situation actually has gotten better rather than worse and is going to stay that way for a while.

To be honest, we have a lot more planes then I thought we did but then again not that many of them are combat craft but then again again a bunch of our stuff is being replaced (finally).
