True, although in the US, those sequential indicators generally don’t meet the FMVSS for “minimum lit area at one time.” So on the US market Audis, you’ll see the entire brake light portion flash in addition to the sequential section. At least that’s the case with the A4 and Q5. I’m not sure what they do with the R8,
