Are his designs actually more Aerodynamic? Wind tunnels typically aren’t large enough to properly test Large trucks. even Freightliner Can only test a tractor and a fraction of a trailer.

Is this a pop up pickup truck cap?  That seems very flexible and stealthy when not camping.  Is this a home brew solution?  Keeping the roof storage is neat too.  Any more pics of this rig?

This view show the back up is in the trunk mounted Rear Combination Lamp. The lower lamp appears to be LED, so it can use red leds with a clear lens to meet the tail/stop/turn requirement with the trunk open.

the lower lamps should turn on when the trunk opens.  Audi did this with their Q7 and Chevy on the Bolt.

Stop and Turn singnals need to be mounted to the body so if the hatch/trunk is open they are still visible. Aux tail and stop, reverse and rear fog can be mounted to the applique or trunk. This is why vertical taillamps are popular on cheaper hatchbacks/SUVs to get the surface area without additional cost of an
