Random person:“Hey! That’s a Buick?!”
Maybe it was a People’s Choice award?
I heard a story of a service manager at a Ford dealership and a customer came in with her boyfriend’s truck and needed his “Fiso” fixed. He thought she meant Fuso, as in Mitsubishi Fuso commercial trucks. But when she pulled it in, it was an F-150. Would a badge be that vague that people would confuse the 15 for an…
Why Minneapolis?
I went through the same thing with a transmission rebuild on a Passat TDI wagon. The devil you know... I should have done a 5 speed swap on our Passat, but it realistically would have taken a month for me to do with a 2 year old at home. Stretched the car another 2.5 years until Mrs. Hidgolf returned to work and…
I’ve only seen pictures of the Moscow Metro stations, they certainly are ornate. I kinda like the austere airiness of the DC Metro stations, especially compared to cramped NYC stations with all the building columns and low ceilings.
A Dodge Caravan from 2012+ has a payload capacity higher than an Avalanche. 7 people can be heavy. And once the seats are folded you can add the Mopar rubber mat to cover the carpet from front to back. As this article is about putting things inside a truck’s cabin, probably going to get the Avalanche interior dirty…
Just watch the last 15 mins or so. It’s incredible to think “just” a truck driver would do such a trip under those conditions. No AC, not much of a bed, no shower for days, no support when stuck unless someone else comes by. Maybe if the camera crew wasn’t with him he would have had a second driver?
Rear fogs are not required in North America. I think Oldsmobile was the only US maker to produce a US car with them. GM didn’t include a self resetting switch so people just left them on all the time.
Why not just get a minivan if you want a transformer?
Point is, if a WIG needs a seaport but people need to fly to the seaport, having a seaport located at an airport would reduce transits between jets and the WIG. If everyone needs to collect bags, take an 90 min shuttle to the next sea or air port on both ends it would erode people’s desire to try something different.
I wonder if a boat that fast could carry enough fuel? This boat was planning to do it in 48hr with one tank of fuel, but I can’t find an article saying they did it. Nor does it look very comfortable.
In the end of the video they discuss a large enough WIG vehicle could fly high enough to cross oceans. But your right, such a vehicle has not been built.
True-ish, but if your coming from an regional, land locked airport, you’ll probably take an airliner to NYC to get on a GEV to fly to western England...to get on another plane (or train) to Hethrow.
It would be intersting to investigate airline ocean routes, but it would likely require building new coastal airports where it wouldn’t require a long taxi in a rocking ocean to get around ships/boats. It would probably have a limited appeal to airlines because the routes would probably be few as it couldn’t fly…
“His dad owns a dealership!”
I didn’t explain it well, but I meant the fake dif.
I wonder if there are 80s NASCAR portraits with the laser background?
Did it have the ceiling knobs to crank open the rear windows?
