Michigan has its bright spots, but one of the several reasons I left SE Michigan was how crushing it was when auto industry is in the toilet and it seems to happen most decades for reasons outside most people’s control.
I bet the janitors have a different contract date. They should be able to honor their contract until it expires, calling the Aramark employees scabs or preventing them from honoring their contract is short sited.
Dealerships are not part of the UAW to my knowledge, so I don’t see how this would be a problem in the near to mid term.

I’ve been in surface mines mines with electric shovels that can lift something like 50 tons in one bucket load, and they literally had massive power cables on sleds that were moved around by fair sized construction equipment.
All I can think about is Le Mans on dirt with Trophy trucks.
