The one in the video does have amber rear turnsignals, and the headlamps are not US sealed beams.  So they’ve done at least some ECE lighting changes.

While not truely overlanding, if they could use an RV shore-power to charge, they could charge pretty quickly overnight.

We have two B5 Passat wagons.  the V6 Journey rental we had was pretty nice compared to 15+ year old vw’s with tired suspensions.

California is also the 4th biggest oil producing state.  Will that stop that industry? Or just have more to export to other states?
