“Why is it suddenly a problem now?”
Honestly, I think people have gotten used to, and expect shows/movies to be relatively loyal to the books. It’s been a long time since our leather-clad X-Men hit the scene; since then Marvel movies have been reasonably accurate, as have the DC tv and (to a certain extent) the movies.

In hindsight, I bet Max wishes he pitched the 9th inning too.

I usually dislike a pitcher being stubborn like this.
But once you’re a 10 year veteran that has stayed relatively healthy pitching 30+ games every year, a 4-time All-star & 2-time Cy Young winner, I think you know your capabilities best.

“We’ve got a quote from Kelly Johnson. Does anyone know if he’s playing for the Mets? .... Anyone? .....”

Nope. This city knows nothing but sports disappointment.
Caps could lose in the final 2 seconds by accidentally kicking the puck into their own goal, and nobody would flinch.

I actually think “territories” is the way to go for a company to take over from TNA as the “WWE-alternative”

You make 4-5 sister regional companies, with their own rosters & fueds and occasional cross-company title matches. It could work similar to the multiple WWE shows/brands. Then the company could do s syndicated

Right? Why would anyone want to work on a companies’ most high-profile, top-selling book?

Maybe it will work in context, but I kinda of wish they looked more majestic, like royalty.
Black Bolt’s costume is pretty good, but I wish there was something kingly. Maybe if the collar was higher, or he had a crown or ceremonial headress that referenced his comic costume.
But mostly the Medusa is the only clear miss.

Scott has been possibly the most interesting X-men of the last 15 years. It only took 1 or 2 good writers (Morrison/Wheadon) to put him on track to nullify 30 years of sucking.

Someone just needs to make that breakthrough with Jean.

I actually wouldn’t hate that.
I like the idea of them dissapearing off into the sunset..... if I didn’t know the next writer would immediately bring them back.

Pretty sure Claremont is the last person you go to on comic sexism. The Phoenix storyline was supposed to represent Jean’s repressed sexuality. And nearly every issue he’s written has women being bound in S&M gear, or being forced by mind control to submit to someone and do something against their will. Dude is a

I’m having trouble figuring out why all of the characters look so terrible.
It looks like they tried to base it off the books, but everything just feels ... a little off.

I’m going to be ahead of the curve and be outraged in advance.

I can’t believe what they’re doing to [character name tbd]! The treatment of him/her in [next event comic] is character assassination!! Didn’t they learn from Civil War I & II (and III, if applicable)?!? Tony and Carol were irreparably damaged for 3-8

This world does feel a lot like Agents of SHIELD.
I don’t think they intended it, but Marvel may finally have some synergy with the TV show.

Yes! This! I found Finns portrayal in the first 4 or 5 episodes, one of the strongest performances i’ve seen in Marvel. He spent half of his life as a privileged rich kid, and part as a monk. He portrays that role/character with a zen calm but a mixture of childish naivety and wonder that i think worked well and at

It’s just a trendy whipping boy.
It had some flaws, but I really enjoyed it. It was no JJ or Cage, but I definitely thought it was better than both DD seasons. Some of the writing (dialogue especially) wasn’t great, but the plot and characters were interesting, the pace was much better than the other shows, and the

Live Look at Fenway Park:

“Hey, leave us out of this.”

People seem willing to accept the mystical/magic thing for Undertaker, and nobody else (early Mankind?). Bray would work better as a slightly unhinged, mentally unstable person rather than magical. These things always feel ridiculous and silly like the WCW Ultimate Warrior run.

It’s been a long time since 2002. I bet Ja wishes he still had that sweet “Always on Time” money.

The logo graphic looks like the title screen for a Nintendo 64 game.
