The formula is tweaked. A lot. Basically to pull it off you’d have to be deeply familiar with the house style and heavily rewrite the book, and at that point you might as well just write the damn thing.

I have a few friends working in that field, and they’d notice fast. Part of it is that they’re tightly schematic. There’s a formula you need to follow and points you need to hit. Some romance publishers have a house bible they send you. Any plagiarist trying that would be fired before they’d be caught.
UN Resolution #4106. It also lets the US decide what’s actually football.
I’m starting to think this primary season is going to be weaponized fuckery; if nobody has a clear money advantage (and Trump, whatever he says, doesn’t have a spare billion to spend running), that means a horse race through primaries. If enough nominees have enough false hope to stay it, this might go to the…
It’s also important to remember that one of those is a real concrete thing we know existed and the other is likely an exaggeration of a genuine disaster.
“Why? Why does every movie need the character who is the face of the company and has made the movie studio that creates his movie billions of dollars? Why?!”
I’m sure some nerd I’m too lazy to find has already pointed this out, but that “trailer” was actually a sizzle reel for fans WB begrudgingly put out because it leaked everywhere. We probably won’t see an honest to God trailer until March.
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl announcing their “second #1 in a year” on the cover was a pretty funny jab at Marvel.
This should have been the first issue.
Yeah, I’m all for chip-and-PIN, I just think the mobile end of things is... not redundant, necessarily, but niche, you know?
I’m not knocking NFC in certain contexts (like your running example), or even the technology as a whole, but the entire selling point to the general public has been “IT’S SO MUCH FASTER.” If your seconds are so precious you can’t waste any of them swiping a card, you don’t need a mobile payment app. You need better…
That seems a problem better suited to reengineering the wallet than the payments system. :-)
On some level or another, it wasn’t an accident. The show’s been setting Nygma up as an abuser.
I have never, in my time using credit cards, pulled one out and thought “You know, this could be faster.”
Yeah, Fraction and Zdarsky have really cleverly built out the series, and I’m impressed Image has let them push it so far.
This book was special right from the start. The girls’ bathroom scene in the opening issue is both piercing and gut-bustingly funny.
Technical Virgin would be an awesome punk band name.
I’d make that last one “yet.” We aren’t even to the primaries.
What I tell people is that Microsoft has the big mainstream blockbuster movie exclusive and Sony has the weird-ass experimental games.
PC gamers would sooner eat their gaming computer component by component than buy a console, in my observation, but I personally think “Steam For Xbox” is all but inevitable. Perhaps not this generation, and definitely with limited access to certain games, but it’s coming.
