Probably they picked a time when there weren’t a lot of other kids movies. I’m guessing from the trailer the movie keeps up the show’s non-dialogue tendencies, and execs were probably wondering why the sheep didn’t sing.

My main concern is the movie will depict Thompson as a figure of fun instead of the genuine monster he really was. The man attempted to hijack a horrible and utterly depressing case of abuse where the victim snapped and murdered several people in his family to make it about his pet cause.

Houser and Thompson. They’re the main cast.
