My neighbor has been a mechanic at a Ford dealership for the last 30 years. I ask him about what cars he prefers, and he doesn’t really have an opinion. For example, he says my tacoma is easy to work on, and they don’t see many in the shop. He doesn’t keep records like CR. He just has car opinions like everyone else.…
I worked in the automotive industry back in the 80s, for TRW. We did stuff for Chrysler, and Toyota mostly. The entire design philosophy was different between the companies. Toyota wanted old tech, like cable driven HVAC vents, as opposed to Chrysler’s ten actuators per vehicle designs.
Wait, you think people who buy Teslas are like people who buy Toyotas? Sorry, but that is a HUGE stretch. People buy toyotas for one reason - reliability. Reliability so they don’t have to keep dumping money into cars. And yes, many of them are “enthusiasts” as well. Get out of your bubble. My photo album has bigger…
This has got to be one of the funnest articles so far this year. Pontiac drivers are both safe drivers, and drunks!
I’m a retired design engineer, so i knew almost immediately. Musk couldn’t engineer his way out of a paper bag.
You think you can’t tailgate safely in the snow? Bwahahahahahah. Look at Minneapolis rush hour during heavy snow. I think you are the snow tourist. Here’s a clue. Everyone hates a tourist. Here’s a clue. Those guys tailgating you were laughing at you because you were driving like you were 90 y/o. They don’t run those…
Yeah, those Andy Williams shows were pretty bad.
For christ sake, just buy all season tires. Everyone in Minnesota runs them. No one runs snow tires since the 1970s!!!
Don’t use the car in front of you as ‘a guide’ unless you are of below average intelligence.
Musk is most definitely one of the least intelligent billionaires.
Ehhhh
Musk employs a bunch of yes men who tell him what he wants to hear. I’ve seen it before, but not at this scale.
Apparently people’s lives are cheap too, if LEO was chasing this ‘criminal’ through neighborhoods.
Ohhh, look at the thumb disparity, son. Looks like you are getting ratioed.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is the video of this crash worth?
The front is but ugly. The back looks like a Toyota Matrix. Hard pass.
Makes you feel good, huh? Being smarter than “80 % 0f Americans” because you know Hitler’s car. Got some news for you... you are the odd ball.
Here’s a fun fact. In automotive manufacture it is common to sort problematic assemblies, like wiper arms, at the point of manufacture. They test for function. One bin goes to the factory. The other bin goes to OEM sales. They call it Quality Control.
Being a cop and being active duty military is two entirely different things. One of them can quit if the going gets rough, so the attitude in the job is 100% different. One of them is coddled. One of them works 16 hour days, and gets 6 hours sleep routinely. The other sits around and pats the back of other LEOs.
