Fuck that. I prefer to do 200-300 a day of fun sweepers and twisties on back roads. The 1000 mile days have been rare and not my favorite thing to do unless I just need to get from point A to B.

I don’t recommend it. I’ve had a 1000 mile day where I felt horrible and I’ve had a 1000 mile day where I swear I could have gone another couple hundred. Sometimes even a 300 mile day just beats the fuck out of you... Wind, road conditions, weather, waking up on wrong side of bed can all contribute to whether you have…

Bingo. Gen 2 volt here. Owned it for 13 months now. 9000 miles with 6000 of those being electric only. Around town we simply never need to use the gas. We do have another vehicle for longer trips so an EV this cheap after incentives would also work perfect for us.

No oil changes... Rarely needs brakes due to regenerative braking. Just get in and drive. At that price after incentives this car has a significant lower cost of ownership than a cheap gas car.

I live for touring. Hundreds of miles a day or even 1000 rain or shine. I have a bike for that. I can’t see a day where I can charge a bike at some of the crazy remote locations I find myself in. I’m under no delusion there.
