I have the 5.0 and I tow an 8000 pound trailer.

Every config I’ve done on everything from an F-150, 250 and 350 show the locker as still being an optional item. Not aware that the Fx4 package makes that standard.

Yup... and besides what may have been worn radials, he likely didn’t option the truck with the locking rear differential which probably wouldn’t have helped much here, but perhaps a little.

Shit... In 2012 I bought an F-150 in FX-2 trim with leather, and pretty much every option except for the sunroof, nav, and stupid higher end sync.... Out the door price with 7 year warranty uplift was $36,000 even.  Still have it... It is my tow pig.
