It isn’t keeping up with the Joneses as much as that constant need for gratification that only buying new shit will give them. A lot of people are suckers for any marketing that crosses their path.

On the one hand... Poor financial decisions.
Still own a 2005 Chevy bought new...
LOL.... As a former NYS resident from Central NY I agree. We send them our power and our water and they would send shit back. :)
Maybe NYC should try shipping it up state in NY and see how it goes.
Meh... These fit a niche...

Also grew up in Oneida county.... Big part of what the natives were promised in regard to their sovereignty dates back to the American Revolution. The Oneida in particular sided with the colonists while the other 5 indian nations sided with the English. The Oneidas were promised their land and sovereignty as a reward…
Just because it flew first doesn’t mean it wasn’t a partial copy. It is well established that the soviets copied a part of the design.
Perhaps you should brush up on your internet skills.
“But wtf am I going to do with a 4.5" bed?”
To think he was originally going to be towing with this thing. What happened to that idea?
It doesn’t break down.... But 100 of those miles are rock crawling. She was never bought to be a daily driver...
Point was, a new vehicle purpose built and capable would be the better investment, even at the price of the Roxor.
Road legal but old and ready to break down more frequently. The allure of this Roxor is net new toy. When I look at the money I have into my jeep project these past two years, I would have hard time saying no to the roxor.... and while my jeep is registered, it gets trailer queen status these days and only bombs…
Nothing screams low IQ than drawing attention to oneself while holding an expired/suspended/etc license.
“But I suspect that the true reason why I’m so nervous has to do with the fact that I’m towing a vehicle near its maximum rated load.”
Meh... I’m never very surprised at 200k on a vehicle after say ten years of ownership or less. Very doable on routine maintenance.
I stand corrected.
Irwin makes a set that is usable for both. If you are careful you don’t eff it up.
Where I come from those are called Tap and Die sets. I finally bought a full set a while back as it is one of those tools you need every so often and it saves you a lot of time having them and not stopping work and running out to the store to get/rent.
AS for the other rental tools... I rent ball joint presses as that…
THe basis of the design was indeed from the concord as it turns out.
The soviet design? Wasn’t their design but copied from plans for the Concorde.
