I’m into EVs but some firetrucks use that big diesel motor to power powerful pumps for prolonged periods of time. Most firetrucks of any size have a pump.

Night shifts do not use the same number of vehicles for starters. Secondly, the amount of miles a city owned vehicle travels in a day on average is pretty low. There are plenty of opportunities to top off if that is designed into the city’s use case. I doubt the night shift is waiting in the parking lot for the day

I don’t get that either. Most cities keep their vehicles a long time anyway.

Not a cheap one. For everything else though? Board of water, DPW stuff that doesn’t need to be a truck or dump truck? Social services workers? There are a lot of city owned cars that get only 10-30 miles a day max put on them. EV’s are a great fit for that.

Pretty sure a municipality is going to spend way less on “fuel” and maintenance with an EV than an ICE car.

No they aren’t and that is because the Model 3 isn’t considered a compact car, but a mid-sized.

With start ups, the base pay doesn’t reflect the total potential compensation. I just interviewed at one that offered 40,000 shares up front that were worth a guaranteed $5 per share at maturity that private investors are contractually obligated to buy at said $5 per share... Or you can hold them for the public

Pretty sure any current EV out there isn’t rated or warrantied for towing. I could be wrong. I don’t think we are far off from being able to have some sort of towing ability and be able to tow for short distances. I’m just not sure what EV today can give you 150 miles of range while towing a 2000 pound trailer. Has

Here is a thought... Remember that Tesla is a battery company and the car is simple a high tech blister pack that they deliver the battery in.

NO to the Leaf due to range and size.

Nope. Just nope.

It would be fun except for all the fuckers who race full contact all the time. It is one thing to get caught in a pile up at the start of a race or the first corner, but there are too many assholes intentionally wrecking other players... Ironically they don’t place well either.

First... I don’t have light bars because 99% of my rock crawling is done in the day light hours. Rather spend my money on shit that goes under the jeep.

People didn’t forget... It’s just that they don’t need to remember. Federal labor law supplanted unions long ago.

Lost control. I have a jeep lifted 6.5" on 33's (no light bars) and I drive it with care on the street because it just doesn’t handle or stop all that well - Didn’t before it was lifted either. I see “Bro-Trucks/Dozers” all the time flying down the road on massive lifts and big wheels/tires when they don’t handle for

Driving around suburbia with said light bar on day and night... Minor detail.

Bingo. The question is... would they have built the factory there if the 100% tariff didn’t exist? Maybe.

Dude... I have a garage that is already occupied with two motorcycles and a wood shop. My jeep rock crawler gets worked on outside now... which makes things a pain in the ass. I have some space... I just need more and if I’m getting more it is going to be heated and cooled.

Space followed by Money followed by time.

Oh, what I could do with an extra garage bay... and oh what I could do with a large out building. It isn’t about just covered storage but space to work on things in either heated or cooled comfort.

You realize that it is perfectly normal and legal for campaign staff to be in touch with foreign entities and representatives of gov’t right? Obama’s Staff did it and just this past election, Hillary’s people were also in touch with the Russians. People need to stop spinning mere contact as illegal or unethical.
