That depends on who you ask. Some states have small populations, but they get a couple of electoral votes. If the presidency were decided by popular vote alone, those states would be completely insignificant.

Most of my friends voted for Trump. Not because he is a white, Christian male, but because he promised to not infringe on Constitutional rights (like 2A), and that he will appoint justices who agree with that. Most of them also found Hillary to be a distasteful joke at best and a criminal at worst.

Don’t blame people who don’t support your favorite candidate. It’s not their fault that both major parties scheme and conspire to block some candidates and then nominate unlikable and untrustable ones. Fix that shit from the inside, and maybe the votes will follow.
