Tack on the fact it’s become socially acceptable to hustle because whatever you’re doing simply isn’t enough; your life’s purpose is to produce, produce, produce so that others can consume, consume, consume.

Guess what. The pre requirement of needing a “hustle” culture is that jobs don’t pay you enough to live normally.

Of course.  They will avoid paying any income tax and maybe just have to deal with the much lower capital gains tax instead.  There is probably a way for them to dodge the other payroll related taxes as well.

The whole “executive team is forgoing salaries” is a bit of a smoke screen. The CEO makes $400,000 year in salary but over $2,000,000 in stock.

All I see is a good, honest truck—the long bed, the regular cab—it’s refreshing seeing a truck configured as a truck should be. I’m all in.

At what point do the oil companies realize that not being willing to take a hit on profits now is likely going to be far more expensive for them in the future?

I mean, it’s a pretty modern take compared to the millennia-old fairy tales that they pretend to organize their lives around.

Not just that but a member of the establishment of the very country the US broke free from for  supposed reasons of restrictions of their civil rights.
