I wonder when they made the switch? Modern Subaru shifters have a ring that you need to pull up on before moving into reverse. I know that holds true from 2004 and on.

I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t keep the PDK-derived 7 speed. It’s not running the GT3 motor like the R, so there shouldn’t be any need to switch it up.
It’s a bit of both.
