I saw Dune last night and I thought the pace was fantastic. I was only disappointed when we arrived at the end because I wanted more. This is after sitting through a movie that is 2.5 hours long. 

Did it last night and it was totally worth it. Enjoy!

Agreed, she is terrific in To Die For. It might be my favorite part she has ever played. 

I love You’re the Worst! My husband and I still quote lines from it to each other. 

I agree with you. There were interesting things to follow in season 1 of Westworld and by the end of season 2 I completely gave up. I won’t waste my time when there are so many better shows out there. 

The Leftovers is incredible. If you liked Six Feet Under and Watchmen then give this show the time investment needed to watch it and analyze it. I am still thinking about it years later. 

I love The Leftovers. Admittedly, I haven’t re-watched it because it was just. that. emotional. I still regularly think about that show. I can’t say that is true of the vast landscape of entertainment and that is why it has such a strong legacy in my opinion. 

I have to disagree. Nate’s death and the aftermath with the entire family grieving was incredibly devastating. The scene when they are all putting dirt on his body has never left me. The finale is also the most moving thing I have ever seen on television.

Yes but at least he isn’t part of that show moving forward and the other people that worked on it aren’t suffering because he is a wanker. 

I watched all the available episodes because it was selected by a friend group of mine for our weekly viewing party. I did not enjoy it.

Come on what? He was fired. 

He was fired from that show before it even premiered on HBO. 

The writers produced absolute shit material for YEARS on that show and the last few seasons they destroyed Fiona. Everything that the character had worked to achieve they just blew to pieces. I hate the writers of that show. Emmy Rossum is very talented and I hope she finds some great roles. 

The material Emmy was given post season 3 is terrible. She is a very talented actress and was being wasted on that show. Add to that the fact that she was underpaid for years and I can understand her frustration showing up at work sometimes. 

I totally agree. I am 12 years older than my half brother and up until he turned five I took care of him a lot. I feel like an aunt to him now that we are both adults. 

It was a joke. If you actually watched the special you might have caught on to that...

My god. Dave never says anything approaching that in the special. NOTHING. Your outrage is so manufactured or you are not bright enough to parse anything he said. He is preaching empathy while acknowledging he doesn’t understand everything.
