I would wager Willoughby is on par with Henry Price from Mansfield Park but doesn’t reach Wickham from Pride and Prejudice levels of nefariousness. Lets not forget Willoughby ravished a vulnerable young girl and left her pregnant. 

I agree with you. I think the way it was filmed it showed how Marianne was able to find happiness without him but he would never be happy without her despite all his money. He valued the wrong thing and will pay for it forever whereas she was able to find a balance in Colonel Brandon. 

Exactly. The scene where Colonel Brandon is reading to Marianne in the garden while she recovers shows their natural and surprising compatibility. The film version of Sense and Sensibility is my favorite Austen adaptation and has been since I saw it for the first time around age 10.

Yes! Hugh Grant is evil in all of Cloud Atlas but yes the Kona Chief is particularly disturbing because he plays and actual cannibal. The first time I saw Cloud Atlas I was very struck by how insane it was to watch Hugh Grant rape people and lead cannibals. Chilling. 

I completely disagree as a book reader. The direction and editing are absolutely top notch and they are capturing the atmosphere of Wind Gap and the essence of the characters almost perfectly. I really like how Chris Messina is playing the Richard Willis character. I am a book reader and enjoying the series a great deal. Plus he and Amy Adams are straight fire together.

I think they were starting to touch on that when Amma was coming down from her x high and Adora was “taking care” of her.

No problem. We don’t learn anything about Camille’s father in the book. Adora is her only parent and it shows. 

No. Camille is Adora’s daughter. We do not know who Camille’s father is as Adora refused to tell anyone. Adora was only 17 when Camille was born. She married Allan a few years later and then they had Marian who later died. Amma is their later in life baby.

Her performance as Serena Joy in season 2 is phenomenal. She went so deep this season and gave a nuanced performance over and over. She really should win. 

Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman were amazing in The Sinner! I was so blown away by that show. We watched it over a weekend and had a hard time turning it off.
