Adding on to your point, big blockbuster action movies are at a much differnt point than they were when the MCU started. In general, I would say they are all much better written and much more creative than they were 10 years ago, which means Lucasfilm needs to step it up.

I will never understand this community’s love for Rogue One. It isn’t a dark gritty war movie and it features some of the most one-note characters in the Star Wars film universe.

Definitely not something I was thinking when they first announced Spidey coming to the MCU. I’m a huge Spidey fan but the cinephile in me is pumped for the new Thor.

It has to be Peter’s fault somehow though. The whole point of Amazing Fantasy 15 is that getting super powers doesn’t solve all of Peter Parkers problems. I’m fine with the movie breaking comic cannon but I think the best comic book adaptations stay true to the prominent comic themes.
