Don't know if everyone is aware of the fact that KBR is Halliburton. I attended a film festival in New Orleans where the film "Hot Coffee" was shown, and her case was featured in it. Shocking & horrifying.

I would think that economics is the big factor here. Women make less money than men & are much less likely to have access to affordable health care. Women in our society benefit economically from marriage much more than do men. Men are more likely to have better paying jobs and health insurance, and marriage will only

I seriously never heard of him until I watched the movie. And I've grown up in New Orleans (which is very LGBT friendly), in a family that is extremely liberal and tolerant, and had friends MY WHOLE LIFE who are LGBT. WTF??? I really should have heard about him in school, at the very least.

I wonder if Dorothy went to Oz just so she could get an abortion...

I LOVE the books and I really like the show (except for the 2nd half of season 2). However, they are completely different. The show is loosely inspired by the books and that's it. You just have to keep them separate in your head or you will be very upset.

Come on...everyone knows it only counts if you rape a virgin. Women who aren't virgins are all sluts and whores and are asking for it, anyway.

OK, so this is weird...but I've actually done that before. Lied and said I was older (not to buy beer or whatever, since I'm 32). It IS kind of fun.

Oh yeah, me too. I'm just going to get one year younger every year from now on until I hit 25. And then I'll stay that way FOREVER, just like Tom Cruise!

This happened to me during the OJ trial. I was seriously into General Hospital at that time. SO annoying.

@Cinnamoncanuck LMFAO, no. He was an SPCA adoption, so he's snipped, poor baby.

Um. I don't seem to be here. My dog is Tanuki, which is a creature from Japanese folklore. I'll just assume I'm a cross between 5/6, a nerd with a lot of books. Since, you know, I am.

Wow, a whole article on how victim blaming is ok, as long as the victim has money. Awesome, Jezebel!

*DOH*

Obviously, she was asking for it anyway. Why else was she waltzing around in one of those sexy maid outfits? Duh.

Fucking. Ridiculous. Seriously.

Of course if the girl is diabetic, she would have special needs, but it doesn't sound as though she made the M.I.L. aware of the fact, since in the email she mentions the exception of food allergy. Most people wouldn't reasonably differentiate between food allergy and diabetes, with one being an acceptable excuse and

This is not an insane email. And the mother-in-law does not sound horrible. It sounds like the daughter-in-law is incredibly rude and the M.I.L. just tried to address the problem in a private email, which the D.I.L. then made public (again showing her incredible lack of manners).

Did anyone here read The Ordinary Princess when they were kids? I did, and that was a GREAT book about how one can use intelligence to achieve one's goals & even find a prince when one isn't stereotypically "beautiful".

MY mother does that. She is (as a result) morbidly obese. I am very disturbed by the whole thing.

Wait, what?! We only get FIVE????!
