I guess you could say his investment went up in smoke. The fire can’t help his resale value.

Do you think they might try and push a RWD based SUV at some point? The 3.8 and 8 speed auto are also used in the Genesis line. I was unaware they had a transverse 8 speed.

This. If GM ever had a small car with the brand equity of the civic or corolla, I'm sure they would have kept the name. Whereas Honda and Toyota are ok reliving their past successes, GM would prefer you forget the Cavalier ever happened.

This is seriously bad business for them. They may get out of fixing this car, but what good will that do if they enrage their customer base and go bankrupt if customers decide to take their business elsewhere? I hope it was worth it.

I like it. Wonder what it will look like with the soft top down.

If nobody tells you it is out, you may not notice it. A lot of them are only active in gear.

Im sorry I can only give you one star for this. I drive a lot of different cars and accidentally turn wipers on while turning pretty often.

I can’t help but feel a little bad for whoever paid a premium for this car and never drove it, keeping it meticulously maintained with the idea that one day it would be worth something. It is probably a reasonably fun car to drive. Not only is it basically worth nothing, the owner never really got to have their fun.

As far as why ingress/egress is electric, blame the frameless doors for that. When everything is working right, you push the button, car rolls the window down slightly to clear the body seal, then it unlatches. They made the seal better than previous designs that didn't lower the glass, but there are some consequences

Kind of like when I had an older roommate and he shared his taste in music. Turns out 80% of the stuff that I was listening to was just covers of and references to older rock.

That's because you are doing it the right way. I know people who put the car in neutral when slowing, and they often get confused and put it in a sub-optimal gear if they need to accelerate or traffic starts moving. If you have run back down the gears and are still in one, you can easily just roll back onto the

Yep. According to the memo that came out highlighting that, the state had some concern that stickers in the middle of the windshield may interfere with crash warning and automatic emergency braking systems. The only systems I have ever seen are on the top of the windshield for visibility. Here, state inspections are

Are the Titan boxes actually useful? Do you have to get in the bed to access them, or can you get to them from outside? It would seem like the way the are set up and hinged would make that difficult.

Never trust other people’s aftermarket work. If I had to take a guess, the owner strapping on a bunch of AM parts and hooning it to death are the cause of the dead motor and hurt trans. Pass.

I used to have a Cadillac Deville that had headrests that tilted forward and could actually be used as a spot to rest your head. It really came in handy on long drives. Other than that, I’ve never had a car that you can rest your head and see to drive.

I guess how snow is handled really depends on your area. After the winter we just had, I will always have at least one 4wd. Down here, we don’t get much snow at all, maybe a couple legitimate snowstorms a year. As a consequence, our infrastructure spending on snow is basically nothing.

Snow tires are great and definitely improve your drive in the snow, but 4wd really has its perks, especially around your area. I’m originally from Syracuse, can confirm terrible weather, and hills, so many hills.

How would you feel about an 08-11 Ford Escape? You should be able to find one at a reasonable price that ticks a lot of those boxes. The 3.0 V6 that is in them is decently powerful and pretty reliable. The only thing that I would keep an eye out for if you are looking at one is oil leaks. The 3.0 is kind of prone to

One of Tesla’s biggest problems is that they always set ambitious goals and fail to meet them. People keep asking about the $35k Model 3 because that is the car that Tesla said they would be making. A $78k Tesla has got to compete with some very good cars, and it is at a disadvantage. If you want a new car from

I’m kind of excited about it, I hope it is a success. It looks like they are getting really close to what Ford is getting out of the 2.7 EB and managed to knock it down to one bank to boot. This is sure to be easier to do most repairs on than the EB.
