3rd Gear: 3.4 million trucks recalled. That’s a lot of real people. They tend to start making a ticking noise before they fail. If you step on the brake pedal multiple times, the first press will feel ok, but the second press will be rock hard. I wonder if GM will be required to reimburse people who have had to have

Yeah, I was going for a pun there, the pics in the article looked like General tires. On the plus side, I got ungrayed somehow.

That's just a bad idea in general.

When I was a young and upcoming gearhead, I KNEW that the AC Cobra was the one. I had always dreamed of getting one, because they were awesome. What I never stopped to think about is that I am 6'5". I got a chance to sit in a Factory Five replica once a few years ago. I couldn’t have shifted it into gear, or shut the

Would you consider a Mazda5 van quirky enough? They are cheap, reliable, drive well, good gas mileage, and will haul an absolutely stupid amount of cargo for its size.  I have one, and I can't bring myself to love it, but I can't hate it either.

The pricing on the HV battery packs is a major factor in the cost on EVs. I'm sure an increase in the raw materials price of stuff like copper would hit ICE cars too, but probably not nearly as bad as it would for EVs.

How comfortable are the seats? Are both driver and passenger powered? Lumbar? 10 years ago I didn't care about lumbar support at all, now it is the first thing I look for.

I’ve got to say I’m pretty fond of my 02. This one is a quad cab 4.7 45rfe, with AWD. For a few years, these trucks could be optioned with the NV 242 transfer case from the Grand Cherokee. No burnouts for me, ever. I just got it six months ago, so reliability is still up in the air, but it has been pretty trouble free

If you ever have to do an Escape battery again, don’t worry about moving the wiper motors when you take them off. Just leave them off when you are done with the battery, then start it up and run the wipers one time and let them park. Then you can just put them back on as they are supposed to lay.

I think if the Dart were still around, there would be a Hellcat version of that too.

I don’t know Torch, tbh I feel like the CLA falls short of the reliability needed to be a meh car. I would argue the C 250 would be a good candidate for Meh-ness. Also, could I please be ungrayed? I promise not to say nice things about crossovers.

For sure, cars got heavier due to crash safety regulations. One of the ways automakers maintained the fuel economy of these heavier cars is by attacking aero.

I would wager that Chally is way underwater at this point. It seems according to the article, Employee wrecks truck —> He buys Challenger. According to the screenshot from the news clip, this car was at least 6 years old when he bought it. When your reality involves moving mattresses, maybe your dream car needs to

I don’t know the answer definitively, but I bet the technical reasoning is the short overhang behind the rear suspension. It sure doesn’t look like there would be enough room once you get clear of the rear suspension for a muffler to run fore/aft.

I like this Jeep. Looks like it was pretty well put together. For sure, the 6.4 is overkill, but it is a pretty cool swap. But.... I don’t trust other people’s work especially. Is that 6 speed he so thoughtfully included for a Hemi or is it original to a V6? Is the cooling system upgraded to handle the 6.4 or is it

Im a bit disappointed in Chris's review on the Cullinan. Not a single drift in a 13 minute review?

I like that. I'll be borrowing it next time I sell something.

What is it like owning the most reliable alfa in the country, anyway?

Right you are. If you have a crew cab and find the need for more "bed", a trailer can usually fill that need for the rare instances where you need it. If you have a regular cab and need passenger space, you are kind of stuck.

I don’t have it in my heart to admit that anything powered by the 3.5 5/ or 2.7 4 is a good vehicle. Never driven an H3T, but I’ve driven/ worked on a few H3s and Colorados. The 5.3 makes them. Without it, I would give all of them a hard pass.
